Hi, I’m Jaden Walker, a South Florida native who’s called Winter Park home since 2020. As a student athlete at Rollins College, I’ve immersed myself in the community while pursuing my education. I graduated in May 2024 and am now continuing my journey with a master’s degree from Rollins!
Throughout the years, I've gained valuable experiences in hospitality and tourism at The Breakers Hotel and Marriott Vacation Club. These experiences have given me an appreciation for what makes a place special and memorable and what visitors are looking for when they want to stay at a place!

Meet the Mascot!
During my career at Rollins College, I had the unique opportunity to witness the infamous corpse plant bloom at the campus greenhouse. Known for its rare and spectacular flowering, this plant only blooms once a year, and with it comes an unforgettable—and pungent—odor. True to its name, the corpse plant emits a smell reminiscent of rotting flesh, which, while unpleasant, is a fascinating natural phenomenon. Despite the stench, the massive flower's beauty and rarity drew crowds of curious visitors. It was an extraordinary experience to see such a rare botanical event right here in Winter Park, Florida!
My visit to the Winter Park Botanical Gardens was an enchanting escape into nature, filled with vibrant, unique flowers and lush greenery at every turn. As I wandered the peaceful paths, I was lucky enough to spot several of Winter Park's famous peacocks roaming freely among the plants. Their striking feathers added a colorful flair to the already beautiful scenery. My first live concert at the KIA Center in Orlando was an unforgettable experience! The venue offers amazing acoustics, comfortable seating, and a lively atmosphere that made the night so much fun. From the high-energy performances to the incredible light shows, the KIA Center is definitely a must-visit for anyone staying in Winter Park. Whether you're a local or a visitor, it’s the perfect place to enjoy a night of entertainment just a short drive from Winter Park!
Exploring Winter Park by jet ski on Lake Virginia was an absolute thrill! Skimming across the water, I had the chance to take in stunning views of the historic homes along the shoreline and glide through the beautiful canals that connect the chain of lakes. The mix of nature and architecture made for a scenic and exciting adventure. If you are wanting to soak in the local beauty, a jet ski ride on Lake Virginia is a fantastic way to experience Winter Park from a whole new perspective!

Luck of the Irish
Armando’s in Winter Park offers a true taste of Italy with its inviting atmosphere and authentic dishes. From the moment you step inside, the warmth of the décor and friendly service sets the tone for a delightful dining experience. I had the pleasure of savoring a perfectly cooked pasta dish, and for dessert, I couldn’t resist the caramel cheesecake, which was the highlight of the evening. The creamy texture paired with the rich caramel sauce was simply unforgettable. If you're looking for a great Italian restaurant in Winter Park, Armando’s is a must-try. Trust me, you won’t leave disappointed!
This past Saint Patrick’s Day, my friends and I headed to Fiddler’s Green Irish Pub and Eatery to celebrate, and it was the perfect spot to embrace the festive spirit! The lively atmosphere, complete with Irish music and decor, really brought the holiday to life. We enjoyed traditional Irish dishes like potato pancakes and fish and chips, while toasting with pints of Guinness. The energy in the pub was vibrant, with everyone joining in the fun, laughter, and cheer. If you’re looking for an authentic and lively Irish pub experience, especially for Saint Patrick’s Day, Fiddler’s Green is the place to be!
